Wintergreen Fire And Rescue has a Durable Medical Equipment Loaner program in place to provide our local residents, as well as guests, short- to medium-term use of various types of medical equipment. Equipment such as crutches, wheelchairs and various other items are available for loan, free of charge. Also, if you have any such items that are of no further use to you, we can accept them as tax-deductible donations.

The items are generally available for pick-up at our Stoney Creek Station during normal business hours. We can arrange for items to be transferred to the Mountain Village Station with a day or two of notice. Please call 434-325-8538 for item availability or any other questions about this program
