MVC - Route 29 near Ridgecrest Church

Wintergreen Rescue Squad was dispatched to a motor vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer on Route 29 near Ridgecrest Church with possible entrapment. When units arrived on scene they found a tractor-trailer on its side with one person entrapped, fire hazards, and a hazardous material spill involving diesel fuel. One person was extricated and transported to the hospital. Units on scene were Wintergreen Medic 177, Squad 1, Lovingston Fire Engine 11, Squad 15, Attack 16, Faber Fire Engine 30, Nelson Sheriff’s Office, Virginia State Police, VDOT, and Stoney Creek Auto.
