About Volunteering with the Wintergreen Fire Auxiliary

The Wintergreen Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary is an organization of volunteers formally established in 2017 to provide service to the Department. The auxiliary maintains a stock of food and supplies to provide immediate support to the firefighters and responders and is ready to respond 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  They also provide food and drink for training sessions and meetings when requested.  The auxiliary has 3 different tiers to provide this help:

Tier 1: Support for planned training sessions, meetings on property, and delivering rehab supplies to an active scene.

Tier 2: Tier 1 duties along with on scene support of gathering equipment, and equipment restocking at the station and after a call.
