Horseshoe Mountain House Fire

Wintergreen Fire Department along with Rockfish Fire Department were dispatched for a house fire on Horseshoe Mountain Road reported as fully involved. When crews arrived on scene they found a house with fire coming from the roof of the second floor. An immediate search was conducted with a hand line to assure no one was occupying the residence. Command on scene activated a county wide Tanker strike force to help with water supply. Although the building sustained a considerable amount of fire damage there was no one in the building and no injuries reported. Units on scene were Tanker 62, Response 61, Response 174, Chief 61, Squad 1, Rockfish Fire & Rescue, Piney River Fire, Lovingston Fire, and Faber Fire.
