MVC - River Rd/Thomas Nelson Hwy

Wintergreen Fire Department and Wintergreen Rescue Squad responded with several of our mutual aid partners to a MVC at the intersection of River Road and Thomas Nelson Highway. When crews arrived on scene they found a Tractor Trailer vs a passenger vehicle with one possibly entrapped. Patients were quickly triaged and the one entrapped was removed from the vehicle. Three were transported from the scene and fortunately there were no fatalities. Units on scene were Wintergreen Squad 1, Response 61, Response 9, Medic 91, Medic 93, Chief 62, Rockfish Trauma 56, Rockfish Fire, Faber Fire, Lovingston Fire, Nelson County Sheriff’s Office, Virginia State Police, and VDOT.
