After the storm... Thoughts from Chief Sheets

January 25, 2016 - As we wrap up our storm weekend, I wanted to take a moment and thank all of the volunteers and staff who (for the most part willingly) got snowed in at the stations to assure adequate staffing and timely responses.

Many volunteers pulled their entire shifts at the stations, a few even pulled overnight tours. We (staff) certainly notice and appreciate your extra effort.

All in all, it seems as if we made it through pretty well. We staffed six ambulance crews spread between three stations. We handled a fair amount of fire calls and a boat load of public service calls. Well over 200 extra staff hours were racked up by this storm. The dedication of the staff is second to none.
