Structure Fire - Laurel Springs Drive

Wintergreen Fire Department responded to a structure fire on the mountain. The exact cause has not been determined; however, it is suspected there was an issue with the chimney. No foul play is suspected. The home was occupied at the time of the fire. There were no injuries reported by the occupants.

This home sits 350’ from the road, and the driveway was covered in snow and ice. All attack lines and equipment had to be drug through the forest.

This call was dispatched at 8:04PM. Our crews arrived at 8:09PM and cleared the scene at 11:17PM. The temperature upon arrival was 15 degrees and upon departure was 12. No firefighters reported injuries.
