MVC/Car Fire - River Road

Wintergreen Fire Department and Wintergreen Rescue Squad were dispatched to a vehicle crash in the 4000-block of River Road this morning for a three vehicle crash with one vehicle on fire. When crews arrived on scene they reported that all persons were out of the vehicles and that now two vehicles were fully involved. Fire crews were able to quickly get the fire under control. Three patients were transported to UVA with minor injuries. Units on scene were Tanker 62, Response 62, Medic 912, Company 5, Company 3, VSP, and Nelson Sheriff’s Office.
