House Fire - Nelson County

Wintergreen Fire Department was dispatched for mutual aid in Nelson County for a reported structure fire involving a shed that was fully involved. When crews arrived on scene they found that a shed and house were fully involved with fire spreading into the nearby woods. To make matters worse there were very high winds at the time of the call. The crews were able to prevent the fire from spreading any further. Unfortunately, the house and shed were a complete loss. Units on scene were Wintergreen Tanker 62, Attack 62, Faber Fire, Lovingston Fire, Piney River Fire, Nelson County Sheriffs Office, Virginia Department of Forestry, Rockfish Rescue Squad, Nelson EMS.
