Structure Fire - Nellysford

Wintergreen Fire Department was dispatched to a possible barn fire. When units arrived on scene they found a structure fully involved in a heavily wooded area. An attack was immediately made on the structure to get it under control and ensure that is didn’t spread to the woods. Due to limited access most of the fire was contained using Attack/Brush style apparatus. Some spot fires did have to be extinguished in the woods. There were no injuries in this incident. Units on scene were Attack 61 & 62, Tanker 62, Rockfish Fire, Lovingston Fire, Piney River Fire, Montebello Fire, Faber Fire, Forestry (with Dozer), Rescue 56, and Medic 92.
