Car Fire - Ashley's Market, Rte 151

Wintergreen Fire Department and Rockfish Fire Department were dispatched to a possible car fire with vehicle smoking. When units arrived on scene there was a blue Honda CRV in front of the commercial building with smoke and flames showing from the engine compartment. Nelson County Sheriff’s Office was already on location and attempted to extinguish the fire with an extinguisher. Units were able to quickly get the fire under control. There were no reported injuries on this incident. Units on scene were Wintergreen Engine 62, Captain 65, Chief 62, Rockfish Engine 51, and Nelson County Sheriff’s Office.
